A ventilation system based on four Blauberg BlauAir air handling units has been launched at the Baisley Pond Park Residences in New York.

The Baisley Pond Park Residences were established in a former 12-story Hilton New York JFK Airport hotel. This is the first hotel in New York City to be converted into affordable housing under the 2021 state law “Housing Our Neighbors with Dignity Act,” which encourages hotel-to-housing conversions following the decline of city tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 12-story residential complex now includes 317 apartments. Ventilation for both residential and non-residential areas is provided by four BlauAir energy recovery ventilation units. Together with our partner, Tower Enterprises, we supplied three BlauAir BL01 CFH1200E S31 units and one BlauAir BL03 R/SE/P unit (modular rooftop AHU).

What will the residents of the complex gain from the Blauberg ventilation system?

Comfort and Health

Clean, fresh air in apartments and common areas. The ventilation removes unpleasant odors and dust while maintaining optimal temperature — crucial for allergy sufferers and people with respiratory conditions.

Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings

The energy-efficient BlauAir units with heat recovery significantly reduce heating costs in winter and cooling expenses in summer. For a 12-story building like Baisley Pond Park Residences, this means substantial savings.

Interior Durability

Proper ventilation maintains optimal humidity levels in both residential and common areas, preventing condensation on windows and walls, and protecting furniture, finishes, and electronics from damage.

We are proud that fresh air and comfort for the many residents of Baisley Pond Park Residences are ensured by Blauberg ventilation equipment.
